Carme Setó is a partner and director of the Digital Law, IT and Data Protection Area and has extensive experience in the planning, coordination, and execution of multidisciplinary operations in the indicated sectors of specialization, for both public and private companies of national and international scope in different sectors of activity.
In the field of regulatory compliance regarding the protection of personal data, her activity is essentially focused on adaptations to the current legal framework, coordination of audit processes, preparation and negotiation of contracts of national and international scope related to the matter, technology transfer, intervention in administrative and judicial procedures in matters of privacy, and representation in the role of Data Protection Officer (DPO).
In the field of intellectual property, its activity is mainly focused on the protection of creations and trade secrets, defense of copyright, negotiation of royalties with management entities, drafting and negotiation of contracts in this area, as well as ongoing advice regarding compliance with advertising and audiovisual regulations.
It also provides legal advice on Industrial Property in the national, European, and international registration of trademarks, industrial designs, and patents, assisting the client in the protection of their assets.
Carme participates as a trainer in the aforementioned subjects and collaborates as a lecturer at several universities and business schools.
